Turbines Creating Engineering Jobs UK

An investment of £3.8 million has been announced by Lord Mandelson, the business secretary to help prentices into engineer jobs. Also Lord Mandelson remarked when he was on trip to the Teesside Cast Products plant that there would be an investment of £2.4 million into assuring prentices can afford to continue their engineering training program.

More than 200 learners in the north-east will be helped into engineering jobs UK by the funding. Also more investment package of worth £1.4 million will be provided by One North East, which will furnish funding to businesses that are seeking to create new engineering jobs.

The One North East wealth will also be available to commence engineering firms, who will now be supported for up to 90 % of their costs rather than 70%. Wining £150 million worth of offshore windfarm contracts, this is good news for engineering recruitment agencies and engineering job seekers in the north-east. It is believed thousands of engineering jobs will be produced by the plans to build 6,400 turbines around the coast of the UK.
