How to update your AVAST! software

Step 1.

Locate the "AVAST! Antivirus" icon on your Desktop.

After you've double clicked the desktop AVAST! icon, the AVAST! software loads up. You will see window featured on the right appear.

You will need to click the icon that says "Registration" - this icon has a small gold key next to it as can be seen in the screen shot on the right.

Step 2.

You now need to either obtain your own AVAST! license key or continue using the key below that we have already obtained on your behalf.

Step 3.

Enter (or copy & paste) the following (or your own) license key into the Registration box:

The above license number expires 1st September 2009
After this date, please revisit this site for an updated license key

Step 4.

Click "Ok".

Your AVAST! software now has an updated license key. The software should automatically update when you are connected to the internet.
